Department of English, GCWUF arranged poster presentation on the topic of Essay Writing on 6th June 2023. Worthy Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Robina Farooq (T.I) graced the occasion as chief guest. She appreciated the endeavours of the students of English Department for calling attention to significant issues such as mental health, climate change, women empowerment, and pollution due to urbanisation. Worthy Vice Chancellor emphasized upon the need to conserve energy by making simple changes in our everyday life. She hoped that essay writing will help students apply critical thinking and creativity in writing. The organizer of the event Ms. Amani Sharif explained that essay writing promotes analytical thinking as students take information and present their arguments in a way that will convince their audience. Head of English Department Ms. Saira Akhter thanked the honourable guests for their valuable visit to the department for encouragement and appreciation of her students.
